Colorado Blue™ is a drought resistant blend of elite Kentucky Bluegrasses. The semi-aggressive nature of these elite varieties makes an extremely dense, dark, fine textured turf that actively fills in and stays thick. Colorado Blue™ has the highest wear rating of any of our sods. It is ideal for backyard play areas to sports fields. Full sun to medium shade, this blend can be mowed from 5/8 inch to 3 inches for desired look. Great year round color and thick density make this our most popular best selling blend.
RTF™ Water Saver® is a new type of Tall Fescue, which produces rhizomes and behaves like bluegrass. Unlike other Tall Fescues, RTF™ has the ability to repair itself and fill in bare spots knitting the lawn together with rhizomes. Excellent heat and drought tolerance, RTF® develops a deep, strong root system resulting in 25% less irrigation. Now you can have a lawn with the best traits of bluegrass and fescue in one grass. RTF™ “Water Saver” fescue. RTF® produces medium texture fine even turf quality, great color and produces rhizomes that initiate new grass growth. A GVT exclusive.
Legacy® Buffalograss has a soft fine textured blade with a medium blue green color. This grass requires a lot less mowing and uses 80% less water than traditional turf type grasses. This cool season second-generation buffalograss excels in Colorado’s dry front range climate and is grown in Colorado on our farms. During Legacy’s dormant period from September to April, it’s a golden straw color. Not recommended for high traffic areas. This is our most water conserving turf and a GVT exclusive.
